I grew up in Coeburn, Virginia, a small mining town in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.  After high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps and served for a little over seven years.  I was fortunate enough to travel around the country and had the honor of performing for President George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice, several Congressmen and women, Governors and Mayors. Other performance highlights include 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, 2003 NYPD Memorial of 9/11 in Carnegie Hall, Ted Williams Memorial at Fenway Park, Tournament of Roses Parades, and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

After the Marine Corps, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have been a trumpet soloist with the Alexandria Band, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee University Band and University Community Orchestra, and featured at an Honors Recital at Northern Virginia Community College. I served as the Principal Trumpet of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Band. I have performed with the Oshkosh Symphony, Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra, and with members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.  I am currently a member of the Green Bay City Band.

In addition to performing, I have taught and directed bands at Green Bay Southwest High School and Denmark High School.  Many of my ensembles and individual students have been recognized at the local and state level and also won or placed in national competitions.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, mostly grilling and barbecue, and finding off-road adventures in my Jeep.  In June and July of every year, I volunteer at the Northwoods Jeep Jamboree as a Trail Guide.  I met my wife, Amanda, in the Marine Corps and we have two children, Maura and Aiden.

I look forward to sharing, learning, and creating with the students and staff of Pulaski Community School District.  We are going to accomplish great things together, and I can’t wait to share our gifts with our families and community.
