Mrs. Jean McWey
Speech & Language Pathologist
My name is Jean McWey. I am the speech/language pathologist at Pulaski Community Middle School and Pulaski High School and have worked in the district since 2008. I love working with my students and watching them develop skills needed to succeed in school and in the post high school settings available to them.
At the high school and middle school levels, I most often work with students who have difficulties with understanding and using language and with students who have difficulties with social skills. Students who experience difficulties with language, especially those who struggle with word relationships and definitions, tend to have more problems with academics. It is my role to determine if there are weaknesses in these areas and how they affect classroom work. In addition to these areas, I do also address issues dealing with speech clarity, voice quality, and fluency (stuttering). Through enhancing a child’s communication abilities, the child’s education is improved.
My in-school phone number is (920) 822-6563.
