We are so excited to start the 2022-23 school year on Thursday, September 1st. We'd like to share our PCMS Family Quick Resource Guide, which contains helpful information about the middle school. A few items we would like to highlight are listed below:
Academic Accountability
Students who need support completing practice work because they choose not to do the work will be given the opportunity during an assigned time during the school day.
Teachers will give students a form to fill out and take with them to complete their practice work. This form will be emailed to their teacher and parent/guardian the day it is assigned.
It is the students responsibility to arrive on time and to utilize the time productively.
Cellphones
Students are allowed to use cellphones before school, during passing times, and after school.
Students are not allowed to have cellphones in the classroom, at lunch, or recess.
Drop Off and Pick Up
School starts at 7:30am and ends at 2:55pm. Students can arrive on school grounds beginning at 7:20am. Please be mindful of this timeframe when dropping students in the morning. Students should not enter school grounds prior to this time.
Students should be dropped off and picked up at the following locations
- 6th grade students - Door 1 (Arched Doors)
- 7th grade students - Door 2 (Band Doors)
- 8th grade students - Door 3 (Pool Doors)
Upon entering the building, students have the option to get breakfast, then will stop at their locker and go immediately to their 1st Block class. There will be no loitering in the hallways.
