Canvas Information

You may have heard your child(ren) talking about the Canvas program.  Canvas is a learning management program that is being implemented this year at PCMS and PHS.  Canvas is a website that connects all the digital tools and resources teachers use into one simple place online.  Teachers can post class announcements, resources for viewing in class or outside of class, assignments, etc.  They can also communicate through email and class discussions.  Students can upload assignments and get verbal, textual, and instant feedback from the teacher once it’s graded.

WebsiteBecause Canvas is web-based, it is accessible anywhere, anytime on any device. You can access Pulaski Community School District’s Canvas at https://pulaskischools.instructure.com or by downloading the app on any IOS or Android smartphone or tablet.

For the 2015-16 school year, students will be using Canvas to access any class resources and assignments for work that continues into PLT or Personal Learning Time.  While we are in the infancy of implementation with Canvas, we have plans to expand it’s use as all get comfortable using it.  Expansion plans are to open parent access to Canvas as well as to use Canvas for all course materials beyond PLT resources.

Below are some resources that will help you learn more as well as assist your children with Canvas:
