PHS Students & Staff Practice Safety Drill

Today during homeroom, PHS students practiced a safety drill and reviewed ALICE (Alert- Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuate) action procedures.  During the drill, students were given information regarding when PHS staff would utilize security lockdowns.  Scenarios were shared and teachers and students discussed their reactions and discussed possible safety plans and procedures.  Safety steps were reviewed in order to generate urgency in the event of a safety concern at PHS.  Students practiced barricading doors, discussed evacuation procedures, and planned for their personal safety.  Students and staff had the opportunity to communicate their feedback regarding this process in order to continue to bolster our security measures.

We all take the safety and security of our students seriously.  Pulaski High School administration appreciates the pride, time, effort, and seriousness in which students and staff paid to this practice measure.  We encourage you to speak to your child about this training and if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the main office at 822-6700.
