5th Grade Teacher
Hello! I am Melissa Gloudemans and I teach 5th grade at Glenbrook Elementary. This will be my 8th year at Glenbrook, having previously taught Spanish for seven years in the district. I am excited to have the opportunity to shift into my new role as a classroom teacher this year. I am looking forward to working with so many wonderful students that I have gotten to know over these past few years!
I am a big believer of a promoting a positive, encouraging environment to help students feel comfortable, confident and happy in our classroom. Having a growth mindset and positive attitude is something we focus on throughout the year. I enjoy helping students discover their interests and find their strengths while challenging them to push themselves the extra mile.
During my free time, I enjoy running, being outside, drinking coffee, gardening, reading, and spending time with my husband who is also a teacher. We have a talking parakeet named Lambeau! I also love all things GREEN as you may notice in my classroom.
I am an Assistant Cross Country Coach at the Pulaski High School, which keeps me busy and active during the Fall. I also coach the 3rd-5th grade Bellin/Cellcom Runner's Club at Glenbrook in the Spring. Go Raiders!!!
