Requirements
Applicants must plan to pursue a college degree in Business.
Personal Statement: Attach a personal statement which outlines the following three topics:
1. Career Goals: Tell us about your college choice and about the business career you would like to have after graduation.
2. High School Record: Describe your major accomplishments in high school, especially as they
relate to and support your career goals.
3. Describe any work with youth in your community: As the moto of Kiwanis is "Friend of Youth," this is an important part of your application.
Be sure to include a copy of your high school transcript with your application. This transcript should include ACT and/or SAT scores, class rank and GPA. Also list any scholarships you have received or will receive.
Letters of recommendations:
- Obtain TWO letters of recommendation supporting your scholarship application.
- One letter must be from a high school teacher who is aware of the quality of your work.
- The other letter should be from someone who knows you personally, such as a neighbor, employer or clergy person who can address issues of good character and good citizenship.
