- Amount: $1,000-winner will advance to national competition for the Fram Kids for College Scholarship. Winners of the national scholarship can receive between $1000-$2500.
Requirements
To be eligible for the National Farmers Farm Kids for College Scholarship or the Steve Pavich and Frank Pries Memorial Scholarship, you must:
- Be a high school senior
- Major in an agricultural field at an accredited college or university
In addition please send:
- Two Typed Essays:
- 1. How can marketing production with other farmers and ranchers improve prices for grain, dairy and livestock?
- 2. Choose one strategy: Niche marketing, price risk management or price negotiation. Discuss and give examples of how that strategy can increase financial rewards on an independent farm.
(Total for both questions 850 works minimum, 1,200 words maximum)
