Requirements
THE APPLICANT MUST BE EITHER –
- A VETERAN AND AN AMERICAN LEGION MEMBER holding a current official membership card at the time of application and at the beginning of higher educational pursuit.
- A SON/DAUGHTER whose Father, Mother, or Legal Guardian is a member of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, or The Sons of The American Legion holding a current official membership card at the time of application and at the beginning of higher educational pursuit.
- A GRANDSON/GRANDAUGHTER whose Grandfather, Grandmother, or Legal Guardian is a member of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, or The Sons of The American Legion holding a current official membership card at the time of application and at the beginning of higher educational pursuit.
- APPLICANT HIMSELF/HERSELF is a member, in good standing, of The Sons of The American Legion or The American Legion Auxiliary/Junior Auxiliary holding a current official membership card at the time of application and at the beginning of higher educational pursuit.
Three (3) Scholarship awards will be made to the applicants who meet the above eligibility requirements and have participated in one or more of the following American Legion sponsored activities:
- Attendance at a complete session of Badger Boys State.
- Attendance at a complete session of Badger Girls State.
- Participation in the County Youth Government Day Program.
- Participation in the American Legion Oratorical Contest (at any level).
- Participation in the American Legion Americanism and Government Test Program.
- Active member of an American Legion sponsored Band and/or Drum and Bugle Corps.
- Member of an active American Legion Baseball Team.
- Member of an American Legion sponsored Scout Troop.
- Member of Sons of The American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary.
- Member of The American Legion.
Awards
Three $1,000 scholarships.
