Lindsey Mathys named lead principal at Pulaski High School

The Pulaski High School will begin the 2025-26 school year with an updated leadership team. Lindsey Mathys has been appointed as the lead principal at PHS. Matt Smith will remain in the role of principal. He will assume some associate principal responsibilities, and Matt Ganzen will continue as associate principal.

Mrs. Mathys began as a special education teacher in the Pulaski Community School District in 2011, served as the associate principal at PHS from 2016 to 2019 and as the assistant director of secondary education through this past school year. We are excited for her to share her passions, talents and wealth of expertise with students and staff in this new role.

Mrs. Mathys will guide the strategic vision, teaching and learning, culture and operations of the high school, in addition to her hands-on role working with students and our community to achieve their goals.

Both Mr. Smith and Mr. Ganzen will support Mrs. Mathys and collaborate with her in ensuring Pulaski High School continues and improves upon its mission to provide high levels of learning for each student. Their respective responsibilities will continue to evolve as the team maneuvers forward in the best interests of our staff and students.

The district is confident that this new principal model will effectively support our students, staff and mission.
