PCSD Families and Staff,

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Wisconsin RtI Center has recognized our District for our implementation of behavior at multiple levels! PCMS and PHS were recognized at the bronze level whereas Fairview, Glenbrook, Hillcrest, Lannoye, and Sunnyside were recognized at the silver level.

We’re so proud of the work we are doing together, and we accept this award on behalf of our students, families, communities, and staff.

Together, we’re successfully building a school-wide community that:

  • closes achievement gaps
  • consistently provides high-quality education for all students
  • uses data to more quickly identify needs of students and provide support develops staff knowledge and skills to support all students
  • nurtures relationships with students, families, and our community
  • increases the number of students who will graduate ready for college or a career

Jenny Gracyalny, Director of Learning Services shared, “Congratulations to all seven of our schools for being recognized by the Wisconsin RtI Center for their dedication and implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems (PBIS). Our schools have worked hard towards full implementation and fidelity of PBiS in Tier 1 (universal) and Tier 2 to be recognized as well as in other areas of reading and math with the Response to Intervention (RtI) Framework including universal instruction, interventions and extensions for learning. This is a testament to the extensive work of our teachers, counselors and administrators who are striving for high levels of learning for all students.”

National research shows that full implementation of an equitable system, like the one we are building, leads to improved student outcomes. Let’s continue our journey!
