Tamara Montoya

I have been lucky to live in Suamico, Wisconsin for little over a year.  My hometown is Bernalillo, New Mexico--a little town between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

I attended Albuquerque Academy being the quintesential theater kid.  After graduation went on to attend DePauw University as a Bonner Scholar in Greencastle with a focus in English for a year.  I found that at 18, I was just not ready to be so far from home.  I returned to attend the University of New Mexico where I changed my major to Theater.  I participated in over 20 productions behind and in front of the scenes.  And then changed my major three times ranging from Computer Science to Mathematics, only to return to my original English choice.  I graduated with a BA in English with a concentration in Professional Writing.

I taught in my home town for a year and realized that my passion will always be in Education.  I began my experience in the Albuquerque Public School System at Highland High School (the school from Bevis and Butthead) as a Registrar.  I finished my experience at Del Norte High School, where a little bit of my heart will always be.  But I am all in as a Red Raider!
