Attention 8th Grade: PHS Dance Team Tryouts are quickly approaching! They will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Glenbrook main gym. Check out the QR codes on the hallway tvs for more details.
Today is Team Up for Inclusion Day and the Official Spread the Word Day for PCMS. For many people with intellectual disabilities, a single word caused years of harm.
Over time, the R-Word became a shortcut for insults-used in hallways, playgrounds, and everyday conversation to belittle and exclude people with intellectual disabilities.
On Spread the Word Day, we invite you--PCMS students and staff-to take a stand on respect, inclusion and belonging. Take the pledge during lunch today. Create a new R-Word--one rooted in kindness, respect and humanity--and help build a world where every person is valued. We will have posters and markers at lunch as well as stickers for those that pledge respect. Spread the Word to End the Word and Choose to Include!
Tomorrow is the last day of the Unified Week. Please wear mismatched or funky socks to honor and represent those with Down syndrome here and around the world. National Down syndrome day is celebrated officially on 3-21 to represent the 3 sets of the 21st chromosome but we wanted to celebrate today as well! Thanks from the PCMS Unified Team!
