Emily Younkle

¡Hola!  My name is Emily Younkle and I am the World Languages Teacher for grades 3-5 at Sunnyside and Fairview Elementary Schools. I am very passionate about the Spanish language and cultures and I can’t wait to share and learn with my students.

Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin, majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Spanish and English as a Second Language

Professional Travel

Winter 2018 - Two week course in Spain, focusing on Coexistence in Early-Modern Spain. The trip included stops in Málaga, Granada, Sevilla, Toledo, and Madrid.

Spring 2019 - Two-month student teaching placement in Lima, Peru. I spent most of my time at Artuto Padilla Epsinoza, a school located in Ventanilla, teaching sixth grade but I also had time to travel on the weekends. A few notable places include Lima, Lunahuana, Cusco, and Machu Picchu.
