Hola.  My name is Tracie Van Gheem-Rottier and I am a Spanish teacher in the World Languages Department at Pulaski High School. I teach Spanish IV, Spanish V and UWGB College Credit Spanish. In addition, I am the Department Chair for World Languages at the High School. I love teaching and enjoy being with the students every single day!

Costa Rica & Nicaragua, Summer 2014: I toured Costa Rica and Nicaragua with 21 Pulaski High School students and 5 other PCSD teachers. We visited a rain forest, a could forest, a local school and more. Students lived with host families in Granada Nicaragua and we took language lessons at 'Ave Nicaraguita'.

Spain, Summer 2003: I toured central and southern Spain with 14 Pulaski High School students and 3 other area teachers. We saw a bullfight and art masterpieces in the Prado Museum.

Mexico, Summer 1999: I completed graduate course work in Saltillo, Mexico in the northern part of the country.

Dominican Republic Winter 1999: I traveled with a group of educators and served as their translator on a mission trip to Elias Piña in the far western part of the Dominican Republic.

Mexico, Summer 1996: I completed my study abroad in Morelia, Mexico prior to my senior year of college. Morelia is a beautiful city. While there in addition to my undergraduate studies, I also had an internship as a teacher at a local orphanage.

Mexico, Winter 1994: I traveled with a group of St. Norbert College students and faculty on this trip to Cuernavaca, Mexico. We studied poverty and the economics of the country.

Spain, Summer 1992: I traveled to Barcelona, Spain while in high school.  I stayed with a host family for the summer and experienced all the best that this wonderful city has to offer.

I have been a workshop facilitator both in and out of the district for a variety of topics in both World Language and Educational Technology.
