Hanna Hedsand is the new Pulaski High School dance coach.
Hedsand, a Green Bay resident, has been a dance instructor at Forever Dance Company since December 2015, where she teaches pom, jazz, tap, ballet and strengthening and conditioning classes. While a student, she was a member of the dance teams at Green Bay Southwest High School and St. Norbert College.
She is also a bookkeeper at Hedsand and Associates CPAs. Hedsand earned a bachelor's of business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Norbert College.
"A great coach doesn't focus on teaching you something you don't know, they focus on helping reveal the knowledge and skill you have within and coach you on how to sharpen, strengthen and expand," she said. "A dance teacher helps their students find the song in their heart, the beat in their feet and a passion for life."
Janel Batten, PHS athletic director, said, "We are excited about Hanna taking over the dance program. She has a lot of experience with the sport of dance and as a coach and we look forward to working with her to elevate our dance program in the future."
Hedsand replaces former dance coach Hilary Vogt.
