My name is Aaron Triphan and I started in 2009 in the Pulaski Community School District teaching students with significant special needs. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Rehabilitation with a Certification in Special Education. My main focus in the classroom is teaching and challenging my students in becoming independent and driven young individuals. I encourage my students to be self-advocates, that is, to be able to communicate for themselves, have control of their own resources, and to have the right to make life decisions. Another main focus of mine with students is transition. Transition is helping students with disabilities and their families think about their life after high school. Through transition planning, we focus on identifying long-range goals designing the high school experience to ensure that students gain the skills and connections they need to achieve these goals.
