Requirements

Applicants must plan to pursue college studies in the fields of science, math, or engineering. 

 

Personal Statement: Attach a personal statement which outlines the following three topics:
1. Career Goals. Describe your chosen college major and show how your proposed career will
benefit society.
2. High School Record. Describe your major accomplishments in high school, especially as they
relate to and support your career goals.
3. Describe any work with youngsters with special learning or social needs which diminish their
quality of life and learning opportunities.

Be sure to include a copy of your high school transcript with your application. This transcript should include ACT and/or SAT scores, class rank and GPA. Also list any scholarships you have received or will receive.

Letters of recommendations: Obtain TWO letters of recommendation supporting your scholarship application. One letter must be from a high school teacher who is aware of the quality of your work. The other letter should be from someone who knows you personally, such as a neighbor, employer or clergy person who can address issues of good character and good citizenship.
