Wisconsin Towns Association Scholarship

Requirements

All applicants must be graduating from a Wisconsin public or private high school in 2014 and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or vocational technical institute in 2014.  Students compete by submitting an essay on the following topic:

  • "What does local control mean for town government and why is it important in 2014?"
  • Essay only! Printed, not hand-written, essay should be between 500 and 1000 words and double spaced.
  • Essays must include a bibliographic listing sources used!

Awards

Seven $1,000 scholarships given based on essay ranking.

Recipients will be announced August 15, 2014. Proof of enrollment in a college or institute of higher learning will be required to receive scholarship.

Other Information

Completed Essay and Background information sheet (attached) should be posmarked no later than May 30, 2014 and mailed to:
