New PCSD board members to take office April 25; outgoing members recognized

Mark Wernicke, left, and Brian Vanden Heuvel, outgoing board members, were recognized April 4 by the PCSD Board of Education for their many years of service to the district. Wernicke has served on the board since 2003 and Vanden Heuvel since 2012.

Two newly elected members and one re-elected member of the Pulaski Community School District Board of Education will take their seats at the board’s reorganization meeting April 25.

Incumbent Sara Mangold, Pulaski, was re-elected to a three-year term. She represents Zone 5, comprised of the village of Suamico and township of Pittsfield. She was appointed to the board in June 2016 to fill a vacancy for the remainder of that seat’s term. She has served as board vice president the past year.

Dawn Clark, Hobart, was elected to a three-year term for the district’s at-large seat, currently held by Brian Vanden Heuvel, who had served on the board since 2012 and did not seek re-election.

Jeromy Delebreau, Chase, was elected to a three-year term. He will represent Zone 2, comprised of the townships of Chase, Little Suamico and Morgan. The Zone 2 seat is currently held by Mark Wernicke, who had served on the board since 2003 and did not seek re-election.

Wernicke and Vanden Heuvel were recognized at the board’s April 4 meeting for their many years of service to the Pulaski Community School District, students and the community.

The PCSD Board of Education consists of seven members, representing six zones and one at-large seat. Election results were canvassed on April 5.
