PHS French Club

Why should YOU join French Club?  Simple!

  • to make new friends
  • to have a life outside of school
  • to demonstrate responsibility and leadership
  • to give back to the community
  • to learn more about the French language and culture
  • to earn points toward trip scholarships
  • to have fun!

The PHS French Club participates in many activities throughout the year:
Community service activities include working at the Pulaski Food Pantry on a monthly basis and wrapping presents for Toys for Tots.
Educational trips include a biennial trip to the Art Institute in Chicago and a biennial trip to France in the summer (June 2013).
Fundraising activities include selling French candy and Letters from Santa, and running a crêperie at Fall Festival and bake sales at parent-teacher conferences.
Social activities vary from year to year, but include holiday parties and French film nights.
Activities to promote the study of French include organizing events for National French Week.

Any PHS student who in enrolled in or has been enrolled in a year-long French class is eligible to be a member. Meetings are held approximately once a month during activity period.  Social and service events are held after school 2-3 times a month.
