Accessibility Options:
Students with disabilities may experience difficulties with computer access due to fine motor problems. By using available accessibility options, the computer may be set up so that the number keys can be used instead of a mouse.

Audacity:
Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. This lesson will teach you how to use Audacity to create audio files of book talks.

This module will assist you in creating a messy task for any problem based unit. These tasks will allow students to be creative and use higher level thinking in providing a solution to the task.

Delicious is a Social Bookmarking service, which means you can save all your bookmarks online, share them with other people, and see what other people are bookmarking.

Netrekker is a fee based subscription that provides access to over 300,000 of the best online resources, aligned with state standards and organized by readability and grade level.
Photostory 3:
Photostory 3 is a free download that allows you to create easy videos of still images complete with transitions, effects, and music.

PixWriter:
PixWriter is a purchased software program that creates an on-screen whole word typing word bank enabling students with typing or spelling limitations to create written work. Words are highlighted and read back to the student to provide immediate feedback on the writing process. There is also a scanning feature that allows students with physical disabilities to create written work using single switch access.
VoiceThread:
A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documetns, and videos and allows people to leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or phone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam).
Super3:
The Big 6 is a process developed by two Library Media Specialists to teach six simple steps for problem solving. In those steps, a task is given which is the assignment, then it follows with 4 steps of brainstorming what information is needed and how to go about getting the information needed to answer the task. The final step is assessing your final product to ensure that you did everything that was asked of you. Currently, districts throughout WI are following an initiative of using this process to teach information seeking strategies.
The Super3 was designed for younger elementary children. The original six steps were broken down into 3 stages.
