The District will no longer be transporting 4K students from the 4K sites in the Village (Glenbrook, BVM and Polka Tots) to the Sunnyside area.
No 4K Wrap-Around Care at Sunnyside
We will not be offering the wrap around care for 4K at Sunnyside due to lack of need or interest.
4K PLACEMENT LETTERS
Due to the financial deficit the District is facing, the way in which we approach the 4K placements may be affected. Because of this, 4K placement letters will not be sent out until the end of April or the beginning of May.
4K ATTENDANCE QUESTIONS
There have been a number of questions regarding 4K early entrance, repeating 4K, and 5 year old children attending our 4K program. Due to state statute, we do not have an early entrance into 4K. Students must turn 4 years old before September 1st to be eligible for the 4k program. The program is designed to be a one year program prior to students entering kindergarten. Students can attend the 4K program as 4 or 5 year olds prior to their kindergarten year. If you have questions regarding the 4K program, please give Marc Klawiter a call at 865–6400.
4K MAKE-UP DAYS
Because of the number of late-ins and snow days, we are under the required minutes for the 4K program especially in the morning sessions.To meet the requirements, we will be adding the following days:
Friday, March 22 - Both A.M. and P.M. Sessions Friday, April 12 - A.M. Session only
Friday, May 10 - A.M. Session only Friday, May 31 - A.M. Session only
