The Pulaski School District uses the state of Wisconsin’s definition of gifted and talented students as those “…who give evidence of high performance capability in intellectual, creative artistic, leadership, or specific academic areas”. [Wisconsin Statute 118.35(1)]
The goal of PEAK programming is to provide an appropriate challenge for students demonstrating exceptional abilities in grades K-12 through enrichment, acceleration, and differentiated educational experiences. PEAK programming is not viewed as a separate entity known as “the program” but as comprehensive services, which are integrated with the total educational plan.
